Sandi Cant | Acupuncturist & Chinese Medicine Practitioner BHSc (Acupuncture)

Hello, I’m Sandi…

I have been a local of Emerald for over 30 years, where I raised my three children and worked with my husband in our business.

I started my studies in January 2020, just before the pandemic turned the world upside down, and at the age of 50, I set out on a transformative journey to become an acupuncturist. Despite the unprecedented challenges, I dedicated myself to mastering this ancient healing art.

Each week, I travelled back and forth to Brisbane with unwavering commitment and resilience. Navigating through lockdowns, travel restrictions, and safety protocols, I persisted, determined to fulfil my calling to help others achieve holistic health.

My relentless pursuit of knowledge and my passion for acupuncture empowered me to overcome obstacles and emerge stronger, ready to offer my expertise to those in need. I use a variety of traditional and contemporary techniques, backed by scientific research tailored to each specific patient. I also use Classical Acupuncture to treat complex issues.

I am registered with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMBA) and a full member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA).

I obtained a Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture) from Endeavour College of Natural Health after completing more than 1000 hours of clinical practice, in accordance with Ahpra requirements.

As well as full time study in traditional Chinese medicine, I also completed a 6 month mentorship in classical Chinese acupuncture with Ann Cecil Sterman from New York, USA. I am continuing with additional studies of classical Chinese medicine as well as courses in Master Tung and Balance Method. I have interests in musculoskeletal conditions as well as mental health, reproductive disorders, stress, sleep disorders, digestion, chronic pain, complex trauma and PTSD.
